New Vision

PFS photoIn March, 2025, our PCCs adopted this as our vision for work with Children, Young People and Families:

The whole church involved in creating a growing and vibrant community of young people who love Jesus and walk in His ways

We are working together to move children, young people and families to the very heart of all that we do. Who's involved? Every single one of us!

This will shape how we think about Sunday worship and other occasions when we meet together. That doesn't mean that every service will be designed to be All Age worship. But as a community that welcomes and values people of every background and at all ages and stages of life, we will be more and more purposefully intergenerational in all we do.

There's a free learning event being hosted at St Matthew's and led by Yvonne Morris, who works for the Diocese of Oxford as Discipleship Enabler and Children’s and Family Ministry Specialist. This is:

"A day of experiential learning aimed at leaders, team members, PCC’s interested and/or involved in creating/leading all-age services, Messy, Forest or Outdoor Churches. Focussed on what it means to be intergenerational particularly in our worship together – and yes – this day is designed to be intergenerational so suitable for young leaders too!"

The learning day will be on Saturday, 22nd March, 2025, with doors open from 9.30am and finishing by 4pm.

Note: if you can't book via the link below, we can still try and fit you in. Email rector@hcchurches.org with your details.
