Dear friends,

Thanks for your prayers and encouragements. Just a quick update.

We’ve had a busy few weeks here; Chris has been preparing a lecture course for the students in Gambella and was also preaching at our church here in Addis this morning. Suzy decided to crack on with a new school year, and we continue with Amharic lessons. We also enjoyed a very relaxing week at a lake a few hours south of Addis.

We’re excited to be able to all travel to Gambella next weekend. We’ve had conversations with key people and we are satisfied that the situation is currently safe enough for us to be there. We plan to be there for just under two weeks. During this time, Chris and Rev. Sammy, the new acting principle of St Frumentius, will deliver several training courses. Suzy and the kids are looking forward to spending time with friends there, and having a break from city life. Do pray for all of the logistics to be sorted and for our time there to be mutually encouraging and beneficial. Continue to pray for peace in the region.
